How to read the result
Probability is easy to misread. If a hypothetical result says 10%, it does not mean the tenth group of attempts must succeed. It means many repeated groups under the same assumed conditions would average roughly that success frequency. Any one player can succeed early or fail after far more attempts.
What we know about the actual odds
Epic’s public Treasure Hunters announcement does not state a Token drop rate. GamesRadar likewise notes that Epic has given no official probability. Consequently, viral claims such as “1 in 700,000” cannot be labeled official without a primary source or a disclosed, reproducible dataset.
Why we do not publish a fixed answer
Counting social posts does not reveal how many unsuccessful chests were opened, whether chest types share the same pool, or whether Epic changed the reward configuration. Without those denominators and rules, a precise community number would create false certainty.

Does opening more chests guarantee a Token?+
No. Under any chance-based model below 100%, additional openings increase the probability but cannot guarantee a successful drop. The calculator shows both the chance of at least one Token and the remaining chance of getting none.
Does a four-player squad have four times the odds?+
Only if the squad collectively opens four times as many eligible chests and every opening follows the same independent rate. The tool multiplies attempts for planning; it does not claim Epic uses that model or that access always transfers to every squad member.
How to interpret Fortnite Token chance reports
Short play sessions cannot establish a dependable drop rate. Random streaks, different activities and unrecorded eligibility conditions can make a community sample look more precise than it is. Until Epic publishes a probability or a sufficiently documented test exists, this guide does not convert anecdotal results into a percentage. Record the activity, number of eligible attempts, tokens received and any daily or weekly limit shown in game before comparing results.
